Dawson-Boyd Arts Association
Mission: Dawson-Boyd Arts Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on nurturing the visual and performing arts for residents in west-central Minnesota and surrounding communities. Our goal is to present a variety of quality arts events throughout the year and to provide opportunities for local artists and musicians to perform and exhibit. Additionally, many of these professional performances are linked to student performances and workshops.
History: Our organization was created in 2001 when the Dawson-Boyd High School Auditorium was renovated and dedicated as a performing space. Dawson-Boyd Arts Association functions with a ten-member volunteer board of directors, a performing arts director and member volunteers. Most events take place at Memorial Auditorium in the Dawson-Boyd High School.
Membership: Membership is available at three annually renewing levels and one lifetime membership level:
Senior: $15 Individual: $20
Family: $40 Lifetime: $250

Benefits: Dawson-Boyd Arts Association members receive the benefit of advance reservations at all reserved seating performances and free admission to the Annual Meeting Concert. Many members also volunteer in a variety of ways within the organization.
Volunteer Opportunities: Members who volunteer as ushers and box office assistants make it possible for us to provide excellent, friendly service at Memorial Auditorium. If you are interested in being a volunteer, contact us by phone or by email.
Season Brochure: The season brochure is produced each summer and mailed to all boxholders in several surrounding communities. To request a copy, call the box office at 320.769.2955 Ext. 246 or reply using the contact tab on this web site.
Directions to Memorial Auditorium: Memorial Auditorium is part of Dawson-Boyd High School with an entrance at 601 9th Street on the west side of the school complex. Parking is available in two lots near the school and on surrounding streets. Dawson is located on US Highway 212 approximately 17 miles west of Montevideo, MN, 60 miles east of Watertown, SD, 45 miles northwest of Marshall, MN, and 60 miles southwest of Willmar, MN.
From Highway 212 in Dawson, drive south on 6th Street six blocks, then west on Chestnut Street three blocks, then north on 9th Street to the entrance of Memorial Auditorium.

How to Order Tickets
By Phone: Call 320-769-2955 x246 to request tickets. There is voicemail available 24 hours a day. If the box office is not staffed when you call, someone will call you back within a day. The box office is usually staffed for the two weeks prior to a performance from 8am-noon on weekdays and one hour prior to each performance.
By Email: Use the "Contact Us" tab of this website to send us your name, address and phone number and in the comments section, request the number of tickets you need. You will receive a phone call to verify payment method.
In Person: Stop by the box office at 601 9th Street from 8am-noon weekday mornings in the weeks prior to a performance. If you are coming from out of town, please call first to make sure we're open.
By Mail: Make your check for tickets payable to DBAA and mail to PO Box #434, Dawson MN 56232. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you wish to have tickets mailed to you.
